This 16 inch by 12 inch oil painting is done on canvas paper. The image painted is a view of a front yard looking across the street at the neighboring house. The tree in the foreground is a dark drown with texture similar to the real tree. The following tree is farther back on the right side with similar texture and color to the other tree. There is also a bush further back, right before the road, directly behind the foremost tree. There is shade cast on the trees and the grass surrounding them, which is shown with the different colors of grass and highlights on the bush. After the bush, closer to the background, is the road. This separates the painting and creates more movement. After the road is a less detailed depiction of the house across the street. It is painted with more natural cool tones compared to the warm grass and trees. This was done to create more depth and make it appear farther away.*
