The bird in this painting is a toucan taking a jewel off of an expensive necklace. The necklace rest on a bust stand with the center stone bracket being empty. The toucan holds the large jewel with its beak as if it is about to eat it. The background consists of stone blue and white stripes. This painting follows the underlying theme through the Bird Series which is combining birds with expensive modern day items.*
