This 18 inch by 9 inch oil painting is done on high quality canvas paper. The background consists of a beige wall. On this wall there are many details. There is a wooden shelf with black metal attachments to the wall at the top of the painting. there is also the trim and the electrical out at the bottom fo the painting. In the middle of the painting there is also a light switch to the right side. Each on of these details showing stark contrast from the lighting. The middle of the painting is the three rows of black metal with white planters hanging from them, attaching it all to the wall. Each one of the planters has different dead or dying herbs. Attached to the top wooden shelf is a grow light shinning directly down on to the herbs. Due to this lighting there is extremely high contrast and drastic shadows.*
