This 9 inch by 12 inch oil painting is done on canvas paper. The image painted is that of a river bed. there is a bed or dirt and sand on the left side that then leads to the water. Under the water are shadows of the ripples and bits of dead leaves and plants. There are rocks peaking through the surface of the water as well, catching the shadows from the trees above. There are blue highlights on the ripples of the water and on the flat areas as well. This is a reflection of the bright blue sky above peeking through the tree branches.*
